It is true that ICT have a big impact in our life and in our studies. It is truly change our life and we are too much fond in using this. ICT is also convenient in teaching students and in that way it transformed the educational methodologies of every teacher. Educational methodologies is the practices and procedures that every teachers uses to teach. Now that our generation our exposed in digital technologies, the teaching methods of every teacher now are really far when I'm in a grade school.
Consider the following for comparison:
A. The singing of the national anthem
Before we form a line, sing the national anthem with conductor (teacher). And now we follow the same practices to form a line but the conductor was the student. Other we can hear a song national anthem through virtual with use of laptop.
b. Concepts notes
With the use of ICT, We now easily we can take a picture of our notes or download and we can write our text on computer using the MS Word and etc.
C. Presentation of visual aids
Manila papers and Cartolina are usually the common visual aids way back in grade school. Compared to now in senior high school, it is very easy for teachers and students to present their visual aids through PowerPoint Presentation with the aid of Zoom or Google Meet's features such as Share Screen.
D. Class record
During my grade school, teachers would always keep a class record with them. A paper that consists of columns and rows where he/she records everything. However, now in senior high school, it has been made very easy for them. Through MS Excel, they just have to input the scores and all the numeric, and then the computer will do the computation.
e. Class dismissal
Before, there is a piece of iron that serves as a bell or teacher needs to tell the class that the class was already dismissed but now there is an electric bell that you just need to press in able to produce a sound. But due to the pandemic, we usually say "goodbye maam/sir" through virtual meeting.
f. assignment and research
At the past, you need to go to the library and find books in order to answer your assignment or to conduct research,but now, you just need to use a cellphone or laptop and with the use of internet, you can easily access to different informations that necessary for your research.
ICT is truly amazing. It helps to lessen the works of everybody and it is offered such an amazing presentation that help the teachers to catch the attention of their students.
ICT is such a nice way to make an advocacy. It is powerful since it spread quickly and easy to share the information with others.
Multimedia is characterized by the presence of text, pictures, sound, animation and video; some or all of which are organized into some coherent program. It is the exciting combination of computer hardware and software that allows you to integrate and to develop effective presentations on an affordable desktop computer.
As I Understand...
Today's multimedia is a carefully woven combination of text, graphic art, sound, animation, and video elements. When you allow an end user, the viewer of a multimedia project, to control 'what' and 'when' and 'how' of the elements that are delivered and presented, it becomes interactive multi media. A multimedia project development requires creative, technical, organizational, and skills.
I believe multimedia is going to be a very important skills in my future career. As a student I can be able to use multimedia and graphics as learning materials like learning interactively with software's made for a certain subject. It will also allow me to experience a subject from many angles, giving me deeper understanding of the subject matter.
It is a good way for communication because it's easy to communicate and understand what is being portrayed. After that, multimedia has animation, music, video and more of this. And so I used it for my artworks in editing and such. It helps me develop a easier and faster way to accomplish my school works.
Significance of using Multimedia...
Through various mediums of multimedia whether it is radio, television, newspaper or internet, we are able to connect with large number of people around us. Especially internet has truly become the need of every individual both for our work and to connect with our friends and well wishers. Facebook, and Twitter have occupied such special place in our lives that if we are not a part of it, then there is something really important that we are missing.
Besides connecting with our friends, media also informs us about the world happenings. In one line I can say that multimedia is like a mirror of the society which reflect each and everything about the society to us. Media people from television and print takes the risk of their lives to inform us about important news. To some extent I can compare these brave journalists with our soldiers who do not bother about their lives and takes the responsibility to aware the general masses about the truth.
